History in Bloom

Flower box tricolurOur 1916 gardening project is coming along!

Earlier this year, the Horticulture class planted seeds of flowers popular in 1916. These seeds are now established plants, living comfortably in flower boxes built by the Woodwork class and decorated by students from the secondary school.

Everything looks fantastic, and we’re hoping for a wonderful display in time for our graduation ceremony next term.

Thanks to everyone for helping out. Projects like this require a lot of hands on deck. You can see photos of the Woodwork class building the planters here. Scroll down to see photos of the Horticulture class hard at work.
