Planting memories: Woodwork class lends a hand

Students from the Woodworking class have been busy building window boxes for our 1916 flower project.  Last Autumn, the Horticulture class planted seeds of flowers that were  popular in 1916. The plants are growing well and almost ready to take up residence in their new wooden homes! Watch out for a vibrant display in the school garden in late summer/early autumn.

The Woodworking students enjoyed helping out. “It was a chance to use their skills to make something practical that will be enjoyed in the school for many years to come,” said tutor Eugene Ingle.
